The Spring Smoothie

Eat pretty with this delicious smoothie, designed especially for Spring Spa by health duo Julia and Libby.

It’s time to drink your way to looking, and feeling great. Eating out on the run or in a rush is terrible (a muffin or bagel= sodium overload!) Smoothies are  great alternative because they’re easy: throw in the blender and press go!

This delicious smoothie makes an excellent snack or as a quick and easy breakfast to tide you over from morning to midday. Banana’s and pears make for delicious ingredients as they both have a creamy texture (when blended) and pear is packed with Vitamin C and fibre, which helps to promote digestion and regularity.1x banana

  • 1 pear
  • 1x cup almond or rice milk
  • Flesh of one coconut
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • Top with coconut, blueberries and activated buckwheat

Combine all ingredients in a high-power blender and puree until smooth. Voila!

Tip: Try putting the pear and banana into freezer bags and freeze so when you blend them up, your smoothie will be thicker and perfectly chilled.
